I still plan to work on Shadow Star some day. After 3 years of planning and even a false start on a crowd funding campaign to explore prototyping, I've decided that the core idea is a little too complicated, and it needs to be heavily trimmed. Because the menus will not be fun, and the hands-off approach combined with first person shooting is neither comprehensive enough as a simulation to be a good sim, and not focused enough on FPS combat to be a good shooter (there's too much down time between events in space.) But, there is a core concept here, of serving as commander on the bridge of a starship in this universe, that is brilliant. And the lore is phenomenal. So eventually I will do something with this property. In the meantime I'm going to make some smaller and tighter games, then come back to this in a few years. I'll leave the page up in the meantime, as I think about what to do.
